A MAN and woman have died in a horror smash in the north of Scotland – despite hero firefighters’ attempts to save them.
The victims lost their lives in the one-car collision on the A937 between Montrose and Laurencekirk last night around 11.30pm.
Emergency services raced to the crash and fire crews pulled one victim from the wreckage.
But both tragically lost their lives at the scene.
Police Scotland say the road is still shut while they conduct their investigations.
