Fans of The Walking Dead and its spinoff Fear the Walking Dead believe they know which character will go from one show to another next year. Robert Kirkman, creator of TWD comic book series, confirmed the crossover at New York Comic-Con last week leading to excitement from fans who have been hard at work theorising as to which character it could be. Fans had wondered whether the two would ever crossover since the spinoff began in 2015, however, the fact it's set in Mexico compared to Atlanta - which is where The Walking Dead takes place - has made the logistics of such an occurrence rather tough. However, these logistics make one character seem like a surer bet than most: Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), the moustachioed warrior who perished at the hands of Negan in the traumatic season seven opener. … [Read more...] about The Walking Dead character that fans are convinced will appear in Fear the Walking Dead

The Walking Dead fans may be anticipating "all-out war" in the upcoming eighth series, but showrunner Scott Gimple has now revealed what they can expect in "very, very different" series nine. Scott Gimple has released a few important details about where the story will go after the end of the next series, which begins on October 22 - and has said that like series seven, the characters will soon be divided again, possibly in a more positive scenario. By contrast, he also revealed that the huge cast of characters will be brought together and "mixed up" in the new episodes due next month. He said: "People were about as apart as they've ever been on the show [in series seven], and we had all these concentrated episodes. "A great deal of the reason we were doing that, the thing that was driving that, was that we knew this season [eight] everybody would be more mixed up, and that there would be less of that. "We're emphasising [the team-ups of season eight] because [season nine], especially … [Read more...] about The Walking Dead spoilers: After the ‘all-out war’ of season eight, showrunner promises ‘very, very different’ season nine
FANS of The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad have had their minds blown by the fact that the two hit shows may be set in the same universe. Cable channel AMC commented on the link and appeared to confirm the connection after eagle-eyed fans noticed a massive hint in Fear the Walking Dead, the prequel to The Walking Dead. The episode featured a mind-blowing nod to Breaking Bad when Fear the Walking Dead characters Madison and Qaletaqa enter a crowded market. As they walk through the busy shopping area the song Negro y Azul: The Ballad of Heisenberg can be heard in the background. This catchy tune featured in Breaking Bad’s second series and is a song about a man called Heisenberg and his infamous blue meth. Fans immediately picked up on the link, and showrunner Dave Erickson responded to the theorists. He said: “I tried to be subtle with it. “That was probably the moment when I fell the most deeply in love with Breaking Bad, when they did that cold open music … [Read more...] about The Walking Dead bosses have just CONFIRMED this fan theory about the show

The Walking Dead season 8 trailer has intrigued fans with the Old man Rick plot that hints at a major time jump. But, no one is sure whether it is just a dream sequence to divert fans mind from the plot twist or it is a real. Robert Kirkman has opened up about the mystery and urged fans to wait and watch the premiere episode to understand why an aged Rick Grimes is waking up from a peaceful sleep. The show creator has said that it will be too early to reveal the truth behind the scene. "Or was it the time jump? I don't know, maybe it was Rick waking up from his coma. Wouldn't that be weird? ... That is an intriguing tidbit that we did throw out there on purpose, and we're hoping that people continue to question how it is that fits into the story line and what it is," he told reporters during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour. He mentioned that his avid comic book readers would also have difficulty in guessing the plot twist in the particular scene. "Comic … [Read more...] about Old man Rick mystery will be answered in The Walking Dead season 8 premiere, says Robert Kirkman
Fear The Walking Dead season 3 aired two back-to-back episodes with a gripping script but it left fans shocked by killing off the main character. Travis Manawa (played by Cliff Curtis) died an unceremonious death at the beginning of the second episode. Upon reaching the military area, Travis, Madison and Alicia were captured by a psychopath named Troy who killed people for fun. Travis battled armed men and a dozen other zombies to free Nick and his girlfriend from the cruel group. Madison attracts the attention of Troy's brother Jake, who seems decent and offers the family a place in his father's sanctuary. But the show disappointed by the beginning of the second episode, in which shots were fired and the last member of the Manawa clan was killed even as Alicia watched in horror. Curtis' exit from the show has left a huge vacuum, especially since he had evolved as a great leader, capable of leading a group during an apocalypse. Curtis explains that the death scene was … [Read more...] about Fear The Walking Dead season 3: Will Madison lead the show after Travis’ unceremonious death?

Gene Page/AMC; Adam Taylor/ABC Dancing With the Stars isn't dead by a long shot. But after Monday's TV-ratings performance, in which the franchise lost 4 million viewers from its previous spring opener, it doesn't feel as alive as The Walking Dead. Here's what DWTS could learn from the Nielsen buzz show: RELATED: Everything We Already Know About Walking Dead's Season Three 1. Don't Air Opposite The Voice: Last spring, DWTS didn't, and its opener scored 22.6 million viewers and a 5.3 rating among adults 18- to 49-years-old. Last night, it did, and it fell to 18.5 million viewers and a 3.5 demo rating, per the early numbers. AMC's Walking Dead season finale, meanwhile, went up against Celebrity Apprentice, and scored a series- and network-best 9 million viewers. 2. Always Be Closing and/or Killing Off Fan Favorites: Even before the finale, The Walking Dead offed Jon Bernthal's Shane, proving no one is safe, and, more to the point, no episode should be missed. DWTS plays that game, … [Read more...] about Five Things Dancing With the Stars Could Learn From…The Walking Dead?!
AMC Is Rick busting out of prison…or is someone breaking in? The Walking Dead has released the official key art for season four (premiering Sunday, Oct. 13), and it looks like our fearless hero Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is either breaking out of the prison they now call home, or anticipating a mob of walkers about to break in. Either way, the photo looks rather ominous. But then again, aren't most things on Walking Dead tinged with dread? In a related note, those Walking Dead fans who yearn to dive deep into the world and themes surrounding a zombie invasion are in luck! AMC, Instructure and the University of California–Irvine have recently announced a Walking Dead online course titled "Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from AMC's The Walking Dead." The eight-week course will explore such topics as the role of public health in society, the spread of infectious diseases, nutrition in a post-apocalyptic world and managing stress in a disaster situation. AMC One word ignited The Walking Dead fandom last night when a simple "help" was heard over the walkie talkie as Daryl (Norman Reedus), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) raced back to Alexandria after an ambush. Could it be? Is it Glenn (Steven Yeun) signaling he has really survived and AMC can stop pretending like the character is dead? Nope. "Not Glenn. The only thing I'll say is that it's not Glenn," Reedus told Yahoo TV. Welp. Reedus told The Hollywood Reporter it was somebody from Alexandria. Yeun's name has remained off the credits following his final appearance surrounded by walkers with guts all over him. But were they his guts? That is the question. Here's what we know: producers and cast members have not said definitively that Glenn is dead. Showrunner Scott Gimple said the following after the last time we saw Glenn: "Dear fans of The Walking Dead. This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we know our friends at The … [Read more...] about Sorry The Walking Dead Fans, but Norman Reedus Just Crushed Your Glenn Dreams
If you spent the last few weeks feeling "uncertain" about Glenn's fate on The Walking Dead, then good! That's exactly how you were supposed to feel, according to executive producer Scott M. Gimple. Just an hour or two after the The Walking Dead finally revealed that thanks to a dead guy, a dumpster, and a rolling can, Glenn made it out of that walker horde alive and well enough, Gimple joined Steven Yeun as they checked in from Atlanta during tonight's Talking Dead, and explained the reasoning behind the month-long question of whether Glenn was alive or dead. "When people leave the walls, they don't have cell phones," Gimple said. "They aren't rocking 80's beepers. You don't know what happens. You have no idea. When they leave that could be the last time you ever see them, and I think it was important to do a story this year about uncertainty and that the audience would share that uncertainty that the characters had like in episode five. Maggie didn't know what happened to Glenn, and … [Read more...] about Steven Yeun & Walking Dead Bosses Explain Why We Had to Wait So Long to Find Out If Glenn Survived
AMC If you watch The Walking Dead then you most certainly have questions (aside from wondering if they really tried to fool viewers about Glenn's "death"). Your number one question was asked and answered on Talking Dead last night by The Walking Dead's comic creator Robert Kirkman. In the midseason finale, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) decided it was time to break out the old zombie disguise trick. He and Michonne (Danai Gurira) cut open two walkers and covered bed sheets with their warm (are they warm if the are the undead?) guts in order to create zombie ponchos. This way they'd be able to walk through the hordes of zombies unnoticed, the smell of the undead covering the smell of the living. It's worked for Rick and Glenn (Steven Yeun) before. So if this is such a smart play, then why don't they cover themselves in guts when they're out on runs? Or when they were living in the woods before Alexandria? Why not just disguise themselves as zombies all the time? Well, because. "Well, … [Read more...] about Why Doesn’t The Walking Dead Use the Zombie Disguise Trick All the Time? Kim Dickens' character made a splash on House of Cards season three when she came in, guns blazing and ready to take President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) down. For the actress, who recently received rave reviews for her work in Gone Girl on the big screen, the House of Cards gig is sort of a dream come true. "I just got a phone call from them and talked to Beau Willimon about this character," she tells E! News about joining the show. "I said, ‘Yeah, I'll do it, I don't even care what the character is, it's my favorite show.' Then he told me about the character and I was like, ‘Of course! I'll do whatever you want.' It just seemed like a really, fun, formidable role to play." The brassy Kate Baldwin comes back to the White House Press Corp. fold after Underwood has her protégé booted for digging a little too much for his liking. We chatted with Dickens, who is fresh off of filming The Walking Dead spinoff/companion series for AMC, to discuss her character's … [Read more...] about House of Cards’ Kim Dickens on Slaying Politicians and The Walking Dead Spinoff’s “Sexy” Zombies
The reason why Norman Reedus' Darly Dixon is The Walking Dead's biggest character? He can work that dirt, according to his costar Josh McDermitt. McDermitt, Eugene on the popular AMC zombie apocalypse series, revealed the secrets to the dirtying process. Spoiler: they do shower and don't stink…right away at least. "I'm a really pale guy and then I'm in shorts, so they bronze me up. This whole process with my hair and makeup takes about an hour. I go a whole hell of a lot longer than anyone else in the cast except maybe Norman because...he's constantly running back saying, ‘More dirt, more dirt!' They're like, ‘You're already filthy.' He's like, ‘I need more!' Sometimes he comes out looking like a coal miner, just like blasted, being so dark with this dirt," McDermitt tells us. "It's just like, ‘This looks ridiculous!' And then for whatever reason—they start sweating him up with sunscreen and just the sweat of the Georgia heat and some of the dirt … [Read more...] about The Walking Dead’s Dirty, Sweaty Secrets Revealed by Josh McDermitt
